Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to pokemonmonomyth.net, an independent Pokémon Monomyth guide and starter comparison website. The site's operator ("we", "us", or "our") is responsible for the personal information we process for this site. Contact us at contact@pokemonmonomyth.net. This policy does not cover the Pokémon Monomyth project or external websites.
The site has no user accounts, payment checkout, user-file uploads, or server-side player profiles. You do not need to provide a name or email address to read the guides or use the comparison tool.
2. How the starter comparison works
The comparison tool uses data included with the page and predefined recommendation rules. Changing your opening-plan selection updates the result in your browser. We do not send that selection to a server or an AI service, and the tool does not read your ROMs, save files, or device files.
We do not use cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage to save comparison choices or identify returning players. A selection is not saved by the site between visits; your browser may independently restore form state. Local processing is separate from the technical requests needed to load the page, described below.
3. Information processed when you visit or contact us
- Technical requests: hosting and network infrastructure processes information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, referring page when supplied by your browser, and request status. This supports page delivery, troubleshooting, and protection against abuse. Some information may be recorded in provider-managed operational or security logs.
- Email correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address, any name you include, your message, and attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to questions, corrections, privacy requests, and rights complaints. Sending email is optional and takes place through your email provider rather than an on-site contact form.
Please send only what we need to handle your request. Do not send ROMs, save files, passwords, identity documents, or sensitive personal information. A page URL and a description of the issue are usually enough to report an error.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The current site does not include Google Analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or embedded social widgets, and it does not set application cookies. We do not build advertising profiles or sell personal information. Hosting and security providers may process technical requests under their own policies; this is separate from saving your comparison choices.
You can manage cookies and site data through your browser. We do not have a marketing-cookie consent banner because the current site does not load optional marketing or analytics trackers. If we introduce processing that requires consent, we must provide the relevant information and controls before that processing begins; accepting our terms is not consent to tracking.
5. Purposes, legal grounds, and service providers
We use information to deliver and secure the site, diagnose faults, respond to correspondence, and handle legal obligations or rights claims. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and protecting the site and responding to inquiries, or on compliance with legal obligations, as applicable. If optional processing requires consent, that consent must be obtained separately.
The site is configured for Cloudflare hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare processes network and request information to provide its services; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Email providers process correspondence to deliver and store messages. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. We do not pass contact messages to the Pokémon Monomyth project simply because you use this guide.
6. External links
Our pages link to the official game website, third-party game data, and other resources. Following a link sends a request to that provider and may disclose your IP address and referring-page information under your browser settings. The provider's own privacy policy applies. We do not control information you submit to an external patcher, community, or download service.
7. Retention, security, and international processing
We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, follow-up, dispute, or applicable legal obligation, then delete it when no longer needed. The relevant purpose and any legal requirements determine retention, rather than a fixed site-wide deadline. Provider-managed technical logs have separate retention settings and provider policies. There is no server-side history of your comparison selections to retain.
Hosting and email providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply. Contact us for information about processing relevant to your request. No website or email system can guarantee absolute security; avoid including information we do not need.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can use the guides and comparison tool without contacting us. Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on it; and complain to your local data protection authority. Applicable law determines the scope, exceptions, and response deadlines for these rights.
Email contact@pokemonmonomyth.net with your request and enough context to identify the relevant message or record. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting information. We do not hold an account profile or saved comparison history for you, and may not be able to associate a technical visit with your identity. Do not send identity documents unless we have explained why specific verification is necessary.
9. Children's privacy
This is a general-audience guide, not a service designed to collect children's personal information. Children should not send personal information by email. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request review and deletion, subject to applicable law and our ability to identify the record.
10. Updates and contact
We will update this policy and its date when our practices change. Material changes will be identified here, with additional notice or consent where required by law. This policy does not authorize undisclosed collection or describe planned features as already available.
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@pokemonmonomyth.net. For conditions of using the site, read the Terms of Service.
